Bo the Bear

Bo the Bear - full name Beauregard Thaddeus Berington, cousin to the esteemed Chris P. McNugget - hails from Nome, Alaska, not far from the Bering Strait. (He firmly believes the true spelling of that particular waterway was Bearing Strait, abandoned sometime in the misty past by cartographers who should have known better. He disapproves, and he has made this known.)

He was making his way through a library one afternoon - nose-deep in a book about a girl named Sal and a great many blueberries - when he walked right into Aunt Claire's arms. They were immediately the best of friends. It was, by all accounts, the most natural thing in the world.

Bo now lives very happily in a place called Tall Tree Hollow, which he considers a significant upgrade from Nome in nearly every respect (he has no strong feelings about Nome's blueberries, which were admittedly excellent). He shares the Hollow with Uncle E, Aunt Claire, their three dogs - Big Chief Rocky, Tonto, and Dandelion - and Lucy the Lamb, who arrived somewhat mysteriously one night and has been warmly welcomed ever since.

On Storytime, Bo's job is to be present, curious, and ready for whatever story comes next. He is very good at this.
